Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Local Links, a San Diego County golf discovery, community and trip-planning app. By creating an account or using Local Links you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What Local Links is

Local Links helps golfers find courses, see golfer-reported conditions, look for playing partners, plan trips and share experiences. We are not a golf course, a tee-time provider or a booking agent. Tee times, green fees, cancellations and course rules are handled entirely by the course or the booking service you are sent to, under their own terms.

Your account

• You must be 18 or older to use Local Links.
• Use accurate details, keep your password private, and tell us if your account is misused.
• One account per person. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Content you post

You keep ownership of the posts, photos, comments, condition reports and messages you add. You give us permission to display that content in Local Links and to share it with other golfers using the app. You promise that you own or have permission to post it, and that it is not copied from someone else without their consent.

Please do not post anything that:

• belongs to someone else, including photos you did not take and did not get permission to use;
• is abusive, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, or aimed at another person;
• is spam, advertising, or a scam;
• is false or misleading about a course, a round, or another golfer;
• breaks any law, or the rules of a course or private community.

Reporting and takedowns

Every post, photo and comment has a report option. Our team reviews reports and may remove content, and may close the account that posted it. If you believe content on Local Links uses your photograph or other work without permission, report it in the app or contact us and we will review it and remove it where appropriate.

Course information and community reports

Course details, hours, closures, busyness levels and conditions are gathered from courses, public sources and from golfers like you. They can be out of date or wrong. Treat them as a starting point, and confirm details such as tee times, access rules and closures with the course before you travel or pay. Links to course websites and booking services are provided for convenience; we do not control those sites.

Membership

Browsing courses, posting rounds, joining foursomes and messaging golfers are free. Local Links+ is an optional recurring supporter membership at $5.99 a month or $49.99 a year, at the price shown when you subscribe. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period, whether monthly or yearly, until you cancel, and there is no minimum term.

You can cancel at any time from your membership page, which stops all future charges. Canceling takes effect right away: the period in progress is not refunded. Refunds and billing questions are handled through the payment details in your account.

Availability and liability

We work to keep Local Links running and useful, but it is provided as-is and we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost rounds, missed tee times, travel costs, or for content posted by other golfers. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under California law that cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms as Local Links changes. If we make a significant change we will make it clear in the app, and continuing to use Local Links means you accept the update.
